For They're a Jolly Good Fellow

For They're a Jolly Good Fellow set new words to a very old tune. The melody comes from the 18th-century French song Malbrough s'en va-t-en guerre (Marlborough Has Left for the War), which was popular in France before English speakers adopted it, by the mid-1800s, with the cheerful jolly good fellow lyrics we sing today.

It's the song everyone joins in with at celebrations, and our Love to Sing choir keeps it bright and easy to follow. A perfect pick for birthdays, classroom parties, end-of-term gatherings and family get-togethers at home.
