Go Tell it on the Mountain

Go Tell It on the Mountain is an African American spiritual that grew out of the oral tradition before it was ever written down. It was first put into print in the early 1900s and is closely linked to John Wesley Work Jr., a pioneering collector and publisher of spirituals, who helped bring it to a wider audience.

Its call to share the good news of Jesus' birth gives it real lift, and our Love to Sing choir sings it with warmth and energy. It's a rousing choice for carol services, school nativities and Christmas concerts.
