Joy to the World Original

Joy to the World is one of the most-published Christmas hymns in the English-speaking world. The words were written by Isaac Watts in 1719 as a paraphrase of Psalm 98, and the familiar melody was arranged by American composer Lowell Mason in 1848, drawing on themes long associated with Handel.

This is the original, traditional setting, sung by our Love to Sing choir in bright, uplifting harmony so every line is easy to sing along. Its rousing, celebratory feel makes it a favorite for carol services, nativity plays, classroom music lessons and singing together at home.
