Up on the Housetop

Up on the Housetop was written in 1864 by Benjamin Hanby, an American songwriter, and is often called one of the very first secular Christmas songs, predating many of the holiday favorites we sing today. Its cheerful verses about Santa's reindeer landing on the roof and gifts left behind have delighted carolers for well over a century.

Our Love to Sing choir keeps its "ho, ho, ho" bounce easy and fun, so everyone can sing along right away. It's a great pick for classroom music lessons, school Christmas concerts and singing at home.
